The vineyards have granitic soil, and one of the vineyards near Tortosendo has 12 hectares between Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, with the respectable age of close to 30 years, at an altitude of 430-450 meters. Near the Zêzere River, there are 16 hectares, at an altitude of 320-360 meters with sandy-granitic soil. There is also a third vineyard, also with 16 hectares, planted near Covilhã in 1998, at an altitude of 550-580 meters.
The wines produced here have an excellent quality-price ratio, made with both traditional and foreign varieties.
